1. Overview #

HostSync is a comprehensive property and channel management system, packed with features. Its wide range of tools is designed to suit all types of accommodations and all sizes of owners, property managers, and accommodation management companies.

Properties #

With HostSync, you can manage one or multiple properties. A property can be, for example, a local accommodation, a hotel, a hostel, a B&B, a vacation home, an apartment building, a campsite, among others.

Rooms #

Properties are divided into rooms, which represent individually bookable units. Each property must have at least one room.

Even if you rent your property as a single unit (for example, a complete local accommodation), you will need to define a room to represent the entire property.

HostSync supports multiple room categories or types within the same property, as well as multiple inventories.

Availability #

Availability is calculated for each room based on existing bookings in the system and the prices set. If you do not have prices configured for a certain date, the system will indicate that there is no availability. For this reason, it is essential to keep bookings and prices always updated.

2. Using HostSync #

HostSync is designed as a self-service system. The setup is free and can be done by yourself.

Requirements for Use: #

1. Technical Requirements #

  • A computer with Internet access.

2. Computer Proficiency #

  • Knowing how to browse the Internet using a browser.

  • Being comfortable following instructions and using online help to set up on your own.

2.1 Mobile Device Usage #

The Control Panel is responsive and accessible through any mobile device’s browser, automatically adapting to the screen size.

When logging in on a mobile device, you will see a mobile-specific control panel, which provides an overview with key information and links to mobile-optimized pages. You will also have access to all HostSync features.

This allows you to perform all actions from your smartphone or tablet whenever necessary. You also have the option to set up a dashboard specific for mobile use.

If you do not see the mobile panel, click the mobile device icon in the upper left corner.

💡 If you are using the CALENDAR page on a smartphone, we recommend setting the view to one day.

Mobile Application #

We provide a mobile app for Android and iOS. Naturally, the app has more limited features and does not have the same flexibility and potential that HostSync users find in the desktop version.

2.2 Help and Support #

This Support Document provides an overview and explains in detail how to use the booking system.

  • Use the search function to quickly find information.

  • Watch the tutorial videos.

  • Our setup wizards guide you step by step through the setup process, providing a simple and practical way to familiarize yourself with the features.

  • The Control Panel includes a contextual help system, which explains each setting and provides specific help for each page.

We offer free technical support for system-related issues. You can contact us through the SUPPORT area in the Control Panel.

3. Automation #

HostSync has a strong focus on intelligent automation tools, including:

  • Automatic distribution of prices and availability

  • Automatic messages for guests and channels

  • Payment collection

  • Automatic changes to bookings when certain conditions are met

4. Channel Manager #

The Channel Manager automatically updates all your sales channels when you receive a new booking. You can activate channel management in:
(SETTINGS) > CHANNEL MANAGEMENT

For more information on how the channel manager works, go to
(SETTINGS) > CHANNEL MANAGEMENT and click HELP (?) in the upper right corner of the page.

On that page, you will also find links with detailed information about each sales channel.

5. Booking Engine #

The booking page shows guests availability and prices, allowing them to make reservations directly online. This page can be fully customized in:
(SETTINGS) > BOOKING ENGINE

The booking page displays your Offers.
An offer is the price combined with certain conditions (e.g., non-refundable, breakfast included, etc.).
Each room/unit can have one or more offers. “Offer 1” is the default offer that will always be presented to guests.

Booking Widgets #

Booking widgets connect your website to your booking page.
Options include:

  • Booking buttons

  • Booking boxes

  • Booking strips

  • Calendars

To install them, simply copy and paste the code we provide into your site. Your developer or web designer can do this, or you can do it yourself if you know how to edit the HTML of your page.

You can customize the widgets and obtain the code in the Control Panel at:
