⚙️ Technologies that Remove CO₂ from the Atmosphere
Stripe Climate supports pioneering startups and projects that remove carbon safely and permanently.
Below, we highlight two examples from the portfolio of technologies that also benefit from HostSync’s support:
🌋 Climeworks
Uses renewable geothermal energy to capture CO₂ directly from the air. The gas is concentrated and stored in underground rock formations through Carbfix technology, creating permanent sequestration.
➡️ Climeworks has already removed 322 tons of CO₂ on behalf of Stripe Climate companies.
🌾 Charm Industrial
Transforms biomass into bio-oil, which is injected deep underground, creating permanent geological carbon reserves.
➡️ In 2021, Charm Industrial removed 416 tons of CO₂ for Stripe Climate.
